Stanley Cup Injury

October 01, 2007 By: Chris Lee Category: Jokes

Andy came to work one day, limping something awful. One of his co-workers, Josh, noticed and asked Andy what happened.

Andy replied, “Oh, nothing. It’s just an old hockey injury that acts up once in a while.”

Josh, “Gee, I never knew you played hockey.”

Andy, “No I don’t. I hurt it last year when I lost $100 on the Stanley Cup play-offs. I put my foot through the television.”

September 28, 2007 By: Chris Lee Category: Cycling

Floyd LandisAfter just over a year of deliberation the Tour de France Officials decided that Floyd Landis has been stripped of the 2006 Tour de France Championship.

Floyd Landis rode and incredible 2006 Tour de France. After winning the Tour de France he failed the drug test on the account of a high testosterone levels. He has never admitted to doing the drugs he always said that he has always had high levels of testosterone anyway. So after a year of fighting he finally lost the fight and was stripped of the 2006 Tour de France.

No Room In the Game

Steve DownieDean McAmmondOn Tuesday Night the Ottawa Senators were playing the Philadelphia Flyers in an exhibition game at the Scotia Bank Place. Dean McAmmond had just released the puck in ” Death Valley ” ( is the spot on the ice where players are most vulnerable to big hits) and was blind sided by 20 year old Steve Downie. Steve Downie left his feet to deliver the body check and hit him in the head leaving McAmmond motionless on the ice for several minutes. When paramedics got there they moved McAmmond off the ice on a stretcher.

My opinion is that there is no way Downie should be playing hockey again this year. He should be suspended for the entire year and possibly more. The reason for this is because he has had a problem with dirty plays before and he should not be allowed to continuously make a mockery of the game not just for the other players but for his own safety as well. As Brian McGratton said Tuesday night after the game “He’ll get what’s coming to him next time we play him, that’s for sure.”

Animal Football

September 26, 2007 By: Chris Lee Category: Jokes

During the Super Bowl, there was another football game of note between the big animals and the small animals. The big animals were crushing small animals and at half-time, the coach made a passionate speech to rally the little animals. At the start of the second half the big animals had the ball. The first play, the elephant got stopped for no gain. The second play, the rhino was stopped for no gain. On third down, the hippo was thrown for a 5 yard loss.

The defense huddled around the coach and he asked excitedly,
“Who stopped the elephant?”

“I did,” said the centipede.

“Who stopped the rhino?”

“Uh, that was me too,” said the centipede.

“And how about the hippo? Who hit him for a 5 yard loss?”

“Well, that was me as well,” said the centipede.

“So where were you during the first half?” demanded the coach.

“Well,” said the centipede, “I was having my ankles taped.”

Baseball Promise

September 26, 2007 By: dslee Category: Jokes

Two baseball players promised each other. If one of them died first, he will come back as a ghost to tell if there was baseball in heaven.

So one of them dies and comes back as a ghost and says, ‘I have some good news and some bad news.’

Then the other person says, ‘tell me.’

So he says, ‘The good news is there is baseball in heaven, but the bad news is that you are pitching tomorrow.’

#1 Proves Himself

September 19, 2007 By: Chris Lee Category: PGA Tour

After a long season of golf and 4 weeks of play-offs the first ever Fed-ex Cup was handed outTiger Woods with the Fed-ex Cup and it came as no surprise that the winner of the Fed-ex Cup would be none other then quite possibly the greatest golfer of all time Tiger Woods.

Tiger took the first play-off week off to get a little extra rest before the cup would be really contested for. After the first week off he went out at the Deutesche Bank Championship and played remarkably unfortunately for Tiger he was over shadowed by a man who had a great weekend Phil Mickelson. In the final two tournaments Tiger dominated. He absolutely ran away from the field for the tournaments and the Fed-ex Cup. This past year was an incredible display of talent by world #1. Thank you Tiger for an incredible year! Hope to see you do the same next year.

The Race for October

September 14, 2007 By: Chris Lee Category: MLB

After 5 long month of baseball it has come down to the final month until play-off time. It is at this part of the season that the play-off teams or contenders really make a push for theWorld Series Trophy play-offs.

In the American League East the Yankees and Red Sox once again are making a go at each other to decide who will have home field advantage in the first round of the play-offs but, personally i feel that they will both play in October and probably in the ALCS. The only thing that’s going to matter is who has home field advantage.

In the American League Central the Indians and Tigers are battling it out to decide who wil make the play-offs and who will become the American League Central Division Champions.

In the American League West it appears as though the Angels will cruise to the Division Title.

In the American League Wild Card race it is a 3 team race between the Tigers. Mariners and the Yankees. Personally i don’t think it will be much of a race as the Yankees appear to be on a huge role.

In the National League East it appears as though the Mets will have an easy time winning the Division.

In the National League Central it is a 2 team head to head between the Cubs and Brewers, however the Cardinals are not done yet they can still sneak up and pass the cubs and Brewers if they are not careful.

In the National League West anyone of 4 teams could win the division. The 4 teams duking it out are the Rockies, the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers and the Padres.

In the National League Wild Card race it is going to be a great race with 7 teams within 5 games of the Wild Card leading Padres.
